History
Lokman Hekim University is a foundation university established in Ankara in 2017 by Sevgi Foundation to be subject to the provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 on foundation higher education institutions. The Faculty of Pharmacy, which was established within the university, became the first foundation Faculty of Pharmacy in Ankara. Professor Dr. Bülent Gümüşel has been appointed as dean. The faculty was established according to the decision dated 20.12.2017 and numbered 30276 in the official newspaper. In 2018, it started training in full compliance with the Pharmacy Undergraduate Core Training Program with the quota of 60 students.
Qualification Awarded
Students who graduate from the Department of Pharmacy are awarded with a bachelor's degree.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: (1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students (YÖS Sınavı istemeyen programlar için):High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their high school grade point averages.
For International Students (YÖS Sınavı isteyen programlar için):(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.

Graduation Requirements
Graduation requirements for completing the required credit amounts for the program in which it is registered, fulfilling the other graduation requirements according to the provisions of the Regulation and providing at least 2,00 GPA. Students who have fulfilled the requirements for graduation until the end of their education but who fail three courses (maximum) can take three courses exam. Students who are successful in all the courses but have a general academic average of less than 2.00 can take the three courses exams to graduate. Students who want to take advantage of these exams use their rights by applying to their academic units. Three-course exams are held on the dates specified in the academic calendar. A double major undergraduate diploma is awarded to students who have earned the right to graduate from the undergraduate program as well as the graduation requirements in the double major program. According to ECTS; The content of five-year education programs is 300 ECTS. The Senate decides on how to calculate the ECTS credit for a course.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This degree enables the graduate to exercise his/her profession in the field of pharmacy as a pharmacist in accordance with the national regulations and practices.
Assessment and Grading
Students are accepted by the Assessment Selection and Placement Center, in their undergraduate and graduate programs. According to the results of the student selection exam or the evaluation of the special talent exam by the university, students will be accepted according to the results of some special programs determined by the Council of Higher Education. Foreign students are accepted according to the results of the foreign student examination. Also international student exchange program students and other ways such as vertical transfer are accepted within the framework of university regulations.
